Acnefug Liquid 1% solution

Acnefug Liquid 1% solution is a peeling and antibacterial solution for use on the skin.It is used to relieve mild, incipient acne.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The solution contains 10 mg of salicylic acid per milliliter as the active ingredient.Other ingredients include isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment and purified water.

Area of application

Acnefug Liquid 1% solution is used to relieve mild, incipient acne.The solution has a peeling and antibacterial effect on the skin.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to salicylic acid, salicylates, propylene glycol or any of the other ingredients.It is not suitable for infants or children under four years of age.If kidney function is impaired, the solution may only be used on small areas and for a maximum of three days.Use on mucous membranes, in the mouth, in or around the eyes and in the genital area is not permitted as the product contains isopropyl alcohol.

Dosage and application

Unless otherwise prescribed, the solution is applied thinly to the affected skin areas once or twice a day.Before use, the skin should be cleansed and dried.A cotton ball is soaked with the solution and the affected areas of skin are dabbed or rubbed with it so that a thin film of liquid is created.

It is used as directed by a doctor or until the disease has healed.In case of accidental overdose, treatment should be continued at the normal amount.Poisoning is not to be expected when used as intended.If large amounts are accidentally consumed, particularly by children, detoxification measures should be considered.

If an application is missed, do not apply a double amount, but continue treatment at the intended dose.If you stop using the medication, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when used in children over the age of four, as a daily dose of 0.2 g of salicylic acid must not be exceeded.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy, the solution may only be used on small areas.During breastfeeding, the solution should not be used on the nursing breast to avoid absorption of salicylic acid by the infant.If regular treatment of large areas of skin is necessary, breastfeeding should be stopped early.

Notes

The medicine is only intended for external use on the skin and must not be used internally or on mucous membranes.It contains propylene glycol, which can cause skin irritation.The product should not be used after the expiry date stated on the package.
