Ichthraletten® offers an effective and well-tolerated therapy for the treatment of rosacea.The tablets have proven themselves for decades and contain an active ingredient of natural origin, which is obtained from valuable shale oil.This product does not require a prescription, so you can easily purchase it from the pharmacy.

Areas of application

Ichthraletten® tablets are suitable for the treatment of rosacea, an acne-like skin disease that occurs on the face.This condition is often accompanied by overproduction of sebum, which leads to inflammation and redness.Accompanying symptoms can include pimples, papules, pustules, scaly redness, skin flakes and red veins.

The tablets are also suitable for the treatment of inflammatory forms of acne vulgaris and pathological overproduction of sebum in the skin (seborrhea).

Active ingredients and ingredients

Ichthraletten® tablets contain the active ingredient sodium bituminosulfonate, dry substance (Ichthyol® sodium).One enteric-coated tablet contains 0.2 g of this active ingredient.

Other ingredients include white clay, lactose-1-water, copovidone, glycerol, stearic acid, colloidal silica, talc, arabic gum, macrogol 6000, sucrose, iron oxides and hydroxides, montan glycol wax and methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

In the first and second weeks, 2 tablets are taken three times a day.From the third week onwards, the dosage is reduced to 1 tablet three times a day.Treatment should not last longer than 6 weeks as there is not yet sufficient study data for longer, uninterrupted use.

The tablets should be taken before meals with a little water.

Intake

The tablets are intended to be taken orally.They should be taken whole with liquid before meals.

Notes

Ichthraletten® contain lactose and sucrose (sugar).Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
