Instructions for use of Kamillosan concentrate

Kamillosan concentrate is a liquid that is used for various complaints.It contains chamomile flower extract and chamomile oil as active ingredients as well as macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate and ethanol as other ingredients.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Kamillosan concentrate is used for inhalation for inflammatory diseases and irritations of the respiratory tract.It can also be used as an adjunct to moist compresses, rinses or washes for inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membranes, including the oral cavity and gums.It is also suitable as an additive to partial and sitz baths or rinses for inflammation in the anal area and the genital area.It is recommended for internal use for spasmodic and inflammatory diseases in the gastrointestinal area.

Mode of action

The extract and oil from the chamomile flower have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and wound healing effects.Kamillosan concentrate is obtained from Manzana chamomile, which is particularly rich in active ingredients and guarantees a high content of active ingredients.

Application and dosage

To inhale: Inhale 20 ml of Kamillosan concentrate in approx. 1 liter of hot water for 10 minutes once or several times a day.

For mouth rinsing and gargling: 5 ml in 1 glass (100 ml) of warm water 3 or more times daily as needed.

For compresses, washes and rinses: 45 ml in 1 liter of water 1 to several times a day.

For sitz and partial baths: 30 ml to 1 liter of water 1 to several times a day.

To take: 1 cup (100 ml) of warm water up to 4 times daily: Adults: 5 ml;Children aged 6 - 12 years: 3 - 4 ml;Children over 12 years: 5 ml.

Contraindications

Kamillosan concentrate must not be used if you are allergic to chamomile and other composite plants or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.It should not be used for ingestion, mouthwash and inhalation in alcoholic illness.Children under 6 years of age must not use the product.

Side effects

Possible side effects include hypersensitivity reactions, especially in people with hypersensitivity to other plants from the Asteraceae family.Contact with mucous membranes can cause severe allergic reactions.

Warnings

Kamillosan concentrate contains 42.8% alcohol by volume.If the dosage instructions are followed, up to 1.8 g of alcohol will be consumed per single dose (5 ml) each time.Caution is advised, especially in people with liver disease, alcoholics, epileptics, patients with organic brain diseases, pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children.

Storage

Keep Kamillosan concentrate out of the reach of children.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the container and the folding box.After opening, Kamillosan concentrate should not be used for longer than 12 months.

Ingredients

100 g of liquid contains the following active ingredients: extract (1:4.0-4.5) from chamomile flowers: 98.91 g, chamomile oil: 0.19 g.The other ingredients are macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate and ethanol.
