Instructions for use of Kamillosan concentrate

Kamillosan concentrate is a liquid that is used for inhalation for inflammatory diseases and irritations of the respiratory tract.It can also be used as an adjunct to moist compresses, rinses or washes for inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membranes, including the oral cavity and gums.It is also suitable as an additive to partial and sitz baths or rinses for inflammation in the anal area and the genital area.It is recommended for internal use for spasmodic and inflammatory diseases in the gastrointestinal area.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Kamillosan concentrate contains chamomile flower extract and chamomile oil as active ingredients.The other ingredients are macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate and ethanol.100 g of the liquid contains 98.91 g of chamomile flower extract and 0.19 g of chamomile oil.The extract is prepared with ethanol 38.5% (m/m), which contains sodium acetate trihydrate, sodium ascorbate and sodium hydroxide.

Application

Kamillosan concentrate can be used in different ways.To inhale, add 20 ml to approx. 1 liter of hot water and inhale for 10 minutes once or several times a day.For mouth rinsing and gargling, add 5 ml to 1 glass (100 ml) of warm water and use 3 or more times daily as needed.For compresses, washes and rinses, add 45 ml to 1 liter of water and use 1 to several times a day.For sitz and partial baths, add 30 ml to 1 liter of water and use 1 to several times a day.To be taken, add 1 cup (100 ml) of warm water up to 4 times a day: adults take 5 ml, children aged 6-12 years take 3-4 ml and children over 12 years take 5 ml.

Warnings and precautions

Kamillosan concentrate must not be used if you are allergic to chamomile and other composite plants or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.It should not be used for ingestion, mouthwash and inhalation in alcoholic illness.For liver patients, alcoholics, epileptics, patients with organic brain diseases, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children, the preparation should only be used after consulting a doctor.The effect of other medicines may be impaired or increased.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Kamillosan concentrate can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include hypersensitivity reactions, especially in people with hypersensitivity to other plants from the Asteraceae family.Contact with mucous membranes can lead to severe allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, facial swelling, circulatory collapse and allergic shock.

Storage

Keep Kamillosan concentrate out of the reach of children.It must not be used after the expiry date stated on the container and folding box.Once opened, it should not be used for longer than 12 months.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
