Information for use with the article PETASITES COMP: Petasites comp. is an anthroposophical medicinal product used for diseases of the respiratory tract. The active ingredients in the globuli velati are Abies alba e summitatibus ferm 33d Dil. D2, Petasites hybridus e radice ferm 33c Dil. D2 and Plantago lanceolata e foliis ferm 34c Dil. D2. It harmonises the sensory organisation in the respiratory system and supports the treatment of bronchitis and pneumonia. It is applied by dissolving the globules under the tongue. There are no known contraindications or interactions with other medicines. The dosage depends on the age of the patient and is usually 3-6 times daily. The duration of treatment depends on the type of disease and should be discussed with a doctor. So far, no side effects are known. Pregnant women and nursing mothers are advised to consult a doctor before use. Infants should only be treated after a comprehensive medical diagnosis.
