Instructions for use for PROSPAN® cough lozenges, 20 pcs
Prospan® cough lozenges
Prospan® cough lozenges are an effective solution for coughs and bronchitis. They contain a special ivy extract that loosens mucus, makes it easier to breathe, soothes the urge to cough and fights inflammation. The pastilles have a pleasant orange-menthol taste and are ideal for teenagers and adults.
Active ingredients and ingredients
Each lozenge contains 26 mg dry extract of ivy leaves (5-7.5:1).The extract is obtained with ethanol 30% (m/m).Additionally, each lozenge contains maltitol solution, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing), arabic gum, citric acid, acesulfame potassium, medium chain triglycerides, orange flavor, menthol flavor and purified water.
One lozenge contains 0.53 g maltitol and 0.53 g sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.09 bread units (BE).No prescription is required for this product.
Areas of application
Prospan® cough lozenges are used to improve the symptoms of chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases and colds of the respiratory tract.
Application and dosage
Adults and children aged 12 and over can suck one lozenge four times a day.Children aged 6 to 12 can take one lozenge twice a day.The pastilles should be allowed to melt slowly in the mouth, preferably after meals and not while lying down.
If you have inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, we recommend taking it for a week.Even after the symptoms have subsided, you should continue taking it for two to three days to prevent recurrence.
