Description of the product

Eusovit forte is a vitamin E preparation used to treat vitamin E deficiency.However, it is not suitable for cases where the absorption of vitamin E from the intestine is disturbed.In such situations, injection solutions are the better choice.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each soft capsule contains 600 mg DL-alpha-tocopherol acetate, which is equivalent to 403 mg RRR-alpha-tocopherol equivalent.Additionally it contains 546.66 mg alpha-tocopherol.The excipients include cochineal red A, gelatin, glycerol 85% and soybean oil.

Contraindications

You should not take the medicine if you are allergic to alpha-tocopherol acetate (vitamin E), Ponceau 4R (E 124), soy, peanut or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage and intake

The usual dose for adults is one soft capsule once daily.This should be taken whole with sufficient liquid, preferably a glass of water (200 ml).The duration of use depends on the course of the underlying disease and should be discussed with a doctor.

If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose.Simply continue taking it as usual.There are no known dangerous symptoms of an overdose.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you are also taking medicines to inhibit blood clotting or if you have a vitamin K deficiency.Blood clotting should be carefully monitored in such cases.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy it is recommended to consume 13 mg of vitamin E daily.The medicine crosses the placenta, but no harm has been observed in the unborn child.During breastfeeding, 17 mg of vitamin E should be taken daily as the medicine passes into breast milk.
