Amorolfine STADA 5% is a nail varnish for the treatment of fungal infections of the nails. The active ingredient amorolfine kills various fungi that can cause nail infections. The nail varnish is applied once a week and should be used over a period of 6 months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails. Before application, the diseased nail areas should be thoroughly filed and cleaned. The varnish is applied evenly to the nail surface and dries in about 3 minutes. It is important to continue application without interruption until the infection is cleared and healthy nails have grown back. Side effects are rare and may include temporary irritation of the skin around the nail. Amorolfine STADA should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or in certain health conditions such as diabetes or circulatory disorders. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use the medicine. The product should be stored away from heat and moisture and kept out of the reach of children.
