Information for use with the article Levocetirizine TAD 5 mg Film-coated tablets: - Levocetirizine TAD 5 mg film-coated tablets contain the active substance levocetirizine dihydrochloride and are used to treat allergic rhinitis (including persistent allergic rhinitis) and hives (urticaria). - The recommended dose for adults and children 6 years and older is one film-coated tablet daily. - People with impaired kidney or liver function should adjust the dose accordingly. - The medicine should be taken unchewed with water, regardless of meals. - The duration of use depends on the symptoms and is determined by the doctor. - The medicine should not be recommended for children under 6 years of age. - Possible side effects may include headache, drowsiness, dry mouth and abdominal pain. - Levocetirizine TAD also contains lactose. - The medicine should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, severely impaired kidney function or in children under 2 years of age. - Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. - The medicinal product should be stored at room temperature and kept away from children. - Further information can be found in the package leaflet.
