Cetirizine-ADGC is an anti-allergy medicine containing the active ingredient cetirizine dihydrochloride. It is used to relieve nasal and eye symptoms in seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and to relieve chronic hives (chronic idiopathic urticaria) in adults and children aged 6 years and over. The tablet should be taken unchewed with a glass of liquid. The recommended dosage is 10 mg once daily for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age and 5 mg twice daily for children between 6 and 12 years of age. In patients with moderately severe renal impairment, 5 mg once daily is recommended. The duration of use depends on the symptoms and is determined by the doctor. Cetirizine-ADGC contains the active substance cetirizine dihydrochloride in an amount of 10 mg per film-coated tablet. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints, headache, dizziness, tiredness, drowsiness and skin rash. People with hypersensitivity to lactose should be cautious. The medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age unless prescribed by a doctor. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
