Instructions for use for Bromelain tablets hysan® gastro-resistant tablets, 100 pcs
Natural swelling of the nasal mucosa
When you have a cold, the nasal sinuses are often affected. The narrow channels connecting the nasal cavity are blocked and mucus cannot drain from the sinuses. The subsequent inflammation of the nasal mucosa spreads into the sinuses, where an infection with swelling of the mucous membranes can also occur.Typical symptoms of sinusitis are a feeling of pressure and pain in the face and head area.Affected people feel sick and exhausted, and sometimes also have a fever. In the case of an acute sinus infection, the first thing to do is to reduce the swelling of the mucous membranes.Bromelain tablets contain the herbal active ingredient bromelain from pineapple. It naturally has a decongestant effect and pressure and pain can be effectively relieved. The purely herbal medicine is well tolerated and free of lactose and dyes. The stomach-friendly tablets are also suitable for treating young people aged 12 and over.
Herbal active ingredient from pineapple
Bromelain is a natural active ingredient that is obtained from the pineapple plant.Because of its anti-swelling properties, bromelain has proven useful after injuries and operations. The herbal medicine reduces the swelling of the inflamed mucous membranes in the nose and sinuses and thus ensures better ventilation. The accumulated secretion can drain away more easily and the pressure and pain decrease. The highly concentrated pineapple enzymes are protected from premature decomposition in the stomach by the enteric coating of the tablets. This means that the active substance reaches the intestine unhindered and can achieve the desired effect from there.
Application
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults and young people aged 12 and over take 1 bromelain tablet once or twice a day, whole, with a little liquid (e.g. a glass of water) about half an hour before meals. The medicine should not be used for longer than 4 to 5 days without medical or dental advice. As an ideal complement to the long-term effect of bromelain tablets, we recommend using a decongestant nasal spray, which ensures rapid swelling of the nasal mucosa.
Ingredients
Active ingredient per 1 tablet: 56.25-95 mg pineapple stem bromelain = 500 FIP-E. bromelain.Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, copovidone, maltodextrin, magnesium stearate (vegetable), colloidal silicon dioxide, methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:1), methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1), talc, triethyl citrate.
Dosage
Always take the medicine exactly as your pharmacist or doctor has told you.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: Adults and adolescents over 12 years: Take one tablet 1 - 2 times daily.Children under 12 years: Due to insufficient studies, the medicine should not be used in children under 12 years of age.Do not take the medicine for longer than 4 - 5 days without medical or dental advice. However, in justified cases, use over a longer period of time is also possible. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
Intake
The tablet should not be divided because the tablets have an enteric coating. The stomach acid would partially destroy the active ingredient and the effect of the drug would be reduced. The coating protects the tablets so that the active ingredient passes through the stomach undamaged and is only released in the small intestine. The medicine should be taken whole about half an hour before meals with a little liquid (e.g. a glass of water).
Contraindications
If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.
Pregnancy
Safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established. It is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Please note that its use in women of childbearing age must be carefully considered.
Notes
Bromelain tablets should be kept out of the reach of children. The daily recommended consumption amount should not be exceeded. No prescription is required for this product.Ask your doctor or pharmacy about risks and side effects. You may no longer use the product after the stated expiry date.
After operations & Injuries
Injuries and operations on the nose can also cause swelling of the mucous membrane.A clinical study documents the safe and effective use in post-operative care in ear, nose and throat medicine.Accordingly, symptoms such as:B. Pain, edema or obstruction to nasal breathing are significantly improved.70% of the doctors involved confirm that bromelain tablets reduce swelling, and 90% of patients would take the medication again in a comparable situation.
In acute sinusitis
Sinusitis is an inflammation of the mucous membranes in the sinuses - usually as a result of a cold with a blocked nose. The disease is accompanied by pain in the cheek area and behind the eyes, which increases when touched or moved. If the maxillary sinuses are also affected, unpleasant jaw and tooth pain occurs.Sinusitis can become stubborn and cause further complications. The ventilation of the sinuses and the drainage of secretions therefore play a central role in the treatment of sinusitis.
Frequently asked questions & Answers
Does health insurance cover the costs of bromelain tablets? Some statutory health insurance companies reimburse the costs of herbal medicines. It is usually sufficient to present the doctor's recommendation (the so-called "green" prescription) and the receipt from the pharmacy.
Can the bromelain tablet be divided? No, that's not possible.Bromelain tablets have an enteric coating to protect the active ingredient and prevent its premature destruction in the stomach.Instead, the tablet can pass through the stomach unhindered and is only released in the small intestine. There the active ingredient is absorbed and then transported via the bloodstream to the mucous membranes, where it can develop its full effect.
Can I take bromelain tablets with other medicines?Discuss with your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or plan to take any other medicines - even if these are medicines obtained without a prescription or from a pharmacy.Bromelain tablets can increase the effect of other medicines when used at the same time: they influence the blood's ability to clot and also increase the effect of antibiotics by increasing blood and urine levels.
How should you store bromelain tablets? Please store the medicine in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C.During the treatment period, bromelain tablets can be stored outside the refrigerator for four weeks, but at room temperatures not exceeding 25°C.
