Everyone knows about inflammation.The enzymes in Wobenzym® accelerate healing and prevent new inflammation from developing.For joint pain, which is often caused by inflammation, therapy with Wobenzym® ensures that the pain subsides permanently.Enzymes can also accelerate the healing process after operations that injure the body and trigger inflammatory processes.

Areas of application

Wobenzym® is used as a supportive treatment for superficial phlebitis, activated arthrosis and blunt trauma with edema formation, injury-related pain and various types of inflammation.It is also suitable for swelling, inflammation or pain as a result of injuries, inflammation of the urinary and genital tract, and soft tissue rheumatism.

Mode of action

The enzymes bromelain and trypsin contained in Wobenzym® have an anti-inflammatory effect.They break down fibrin, influence blood clotting and improve blood circulation.Bromelain also promotes wound healing.Rutoside, a flavonoid, reduces the abnormally increased permeability of the capillaries, protects against edema and strengthens the blood vessels.This combination gives Wobenzym® its unique properties and has a beneficial effect on inflammatory complaints, especially if they are accompanied by edema.

1 Tablet of Wobenzym® contains bromelain 67.5-76.5 mg adjusted to 450 F.I.P. units, trypsin 32-48 mg adjusted to 24 µkat and rutoside trihydrate 100 mg as the active ingredients.The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch (corn), magnesium stearate (vegetable), stearic acid, purified water, colloidal silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, talc, methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:1), titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 6000, triethyl citrate and vanillin.

Contraindications

Wobenzym® must not be used if you are hypersensitive to one of the components, known hypersensitivity to pineapple, kiwi or papaya, severe blood clotting disorders, simultaneous use of anticoagulants, upcoming or recent operations and simultaneous use of antibiotics.It should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage

The daily dose is 6 to 12 tablets.For example, take 2x 3 or 2x 6 tablets daily.Experience has shown that we recommend taking 2x 6 tablets daily in the 1st week and 2x 3 tablets daily from the 2nd week onwards.As a treatment over 2 months you can take 3 tablets twice a day.For optimal effect, it should be taken outside of meals, at least 30 minutes before or at least 90 minutes after eating.The maximum dose of 12 tablets daily should not be exceeded.

Intake

It is recommended to take the tablets divided throughout the day or as a single dose, swallowed whole with plenty of liquid, at least 30 minutes before a meal or 90 minutes after a meal.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.Before a surgical procedure, the anticoagulant activity of the preparation should be taken into account and the patient should be monitored accordingly.In any case, the preparation should be discontinued 4 days before the operation.There is no sufficient experience in the areas of application mentioned for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.There are no known effects on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

There are no sufficient studies on pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children.
