Instructions for use for PERMETHRIN-BIOMO Solution 0.5%, 200 ml

Summary: The medicinal product permethrin-biomo solution 0.5% is used for the external treatment of head lice (Pediculus capitis). The active substance permethrin belongs to the pyrethrin group of active substances and kills the lice. It is recommended to soak the hair thoroughly with the solution and to use about 25 ml to 50 ml, depending on the length and fullness of the hair. For children up to 3 years of age, no more than 25 ml should be applied. The hair should be treated with the solution for 30-45 minutes and then rinsed thoroughly. To ensure full efficacy, hair should not be washed with shampoo for the first three days after application. Checks for reinfestation should be carried out with a lice comb. A single application is usually sufficient, but a doctor should be consulted if infestation persists. The medicinal product must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients. Pregnant women should consult a doctor before use. The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should be used within 4 weeks after first opening.
