Electrolyte infusion solution 153 is an infusion solution that is administered intravenously.It is used to compensate for fluid and electrolyte losses, for short-term volume replacement and as a carrier solution for other electrolyte concentrates and medications.The solution contains sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate and sodium acetate trihydrate as active ingredients.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

The electrolyte infusion solution 153 is used for isotonic and hypotonic dehydration, short-term intravascular volume replacement as well as fluid and electrolyte replacement with a balanced acid-base balance and mild acidosis.

Application and dosage

The dosage and duration of use are determined by your doctor.The solution is administered intravenously via a venous drip.The speed of administration depends on your body weight and condition.The daily dose can be up to 40 ml of solution per kg of body weight.

Side effects and precautions

If the contraindications, dosage recommendations and instructions are followed, no side effects are known.Particular caution is required in cases of high blood potassium or sodium, heart failure, edema, pulmonary edema, hypertension, eclampsia and severe renal insufficiency.Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take.
