Granulox Dosage Spray is an innovative medical product for the treatment of chronic wounds. The haemoglobin spray improves the oxygen supply to wounds, supports and accelerates wound healing. It is applied topically to the wound. Granulox is suitable for the treatment of different types of wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, secondary healing surgical wounds, venous leg ulcers, arterial leg ulcers, mixed leg ulcers and decubitus ulcers. The main component of Granulox is 10% carbonylated haemoglobin. Interactions with locally acting therapeutics such as antibiotics have not yet been sufficiently researched. Granulox should not be used on infected wounds or during pregnancy. No side effects are known for Granulox haemoglobin spray. Thorough irrigation with physiological solution is recommended after the use of disinfectants or proteolytic debridement. Granulox should be stored in a cool place (2-8 °C) and can be used after opening until the expiry date.
