The article "BronchoVerde Cough Loosener 50 mg Effervescent Tablets" is a herbal medicinal product for loosening mucus in coughs with sputum. It contains the active substance dry extract of ivy leaves. The medicine can be taken by adults, adolescents from 12 years of age and children from 6 years of age. The recommended dose is 1 effervescent tablet daily for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over and 1/2 effervescent tablet twice daily for children aged 6 to 11 years. The tablet is dissolved in water and only drunk when it has completely dissolved. The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date. It does not contain alcohol. Side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort and allergic reactions. The medicine must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the other ingredients. It is not suitable for children under 2 years of age. Pregnant and breast-feeding women should not use the medicine, as no adequate studies are available. A doctor should be consulted if symptoms persist for a long time or if shortness of breath occurs.
