Oculotect fluid sine PDV eye drops are a tear substitute for the symptomatic treatment of "dry eye". The medicine contains the active ingredient povidone K 25 and is used to moisten the eyes and as a wetting agent for hard and soft contact lenses. It relieves discomfort such as burning and a sticky feeling in the eye. When using, adults should place 1 drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 1-5 times daily or more frequently as needed. The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor or pharmacist before use. Possible side effects are temporary burning of the eyes and a sticky feeling in the eye. If any discomfort or changes occur during treatment, a doctor or pharmacist should be contacted. The eye drops contain 50 mg of povidone K 25 per millilitre of solution and no preservatives. In addition to povidone, the ingredients include boric acid, calcium chloride dihydrate, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, sodium chloride, sodium (S)-lactate solution, sodium hydroxide solution 1 M and purified water for injection. It is recommended to keep the medicinal product at room temperature up to 25 °C and out of reach of children. The package leaflet was last revised in October 2020.
