Calcimed D3 600 mg / 400 I.U. effervescent tablets are a calcium-vitamin D3 preparation for the treatment of calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency and for support in osteoporosis. The recommended dosage for adults is 1 effervescent tablet 2 times a day. It can be taken during or between meals. It is important to take the medicine long-term as recommended by your doctor. An overdose may cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, feeling thirsty and constipation. If an overdose is suspected, a doctor should be contacted immediately. If a dose is forgotten, the double amount should not be taken. Treatment may be interrupted or stopped prematurely, but it is advisable to discuss this with a doctor. Calcimed D3 600 mg / 400 I.U. Effervescent Tablets should not be used in certain cases, e.g. hypersensitivity to the active ingredients, increased calcium levels in the blood, kidney stones or impaired kidney function. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking them. There are some possible side effects such as increased calcium levels, constipation, abdominal pain and nausea. A doctor or pharmacist should be contacted if any symptoms occur. Storage should be at a temperature of up to 25ºC and the medicine should be kept out of reach of children.
