Fenizolan Combi 600 mg Vaginalovulum+2% Cream contains the following ingredients:

Vaginal capsule: sodium methyl 4-hydroxybenzonate (1.0 mg), sodium propyl 4-hydroxybenzonate (0.5 mg) as preservatives, thin paraffin, white petroleum jelly, phospholipids from soybeans, gelatin, glycerol, titanium dioxide E 171.

Cream: cetyl alcohol, sodium edetate, glycerol monostearate 40-55, hydrogenated wool wax, virgin almond oil, prophylene glycol, poly[oxy(2-hydroxypropan-1,3diyl)]polyfatty alkanoate, purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to the active ingredient fenticonazole nitrate, other similar substances, so-called imidazole derivatives, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

The recommended use for Fenizolan Combi 600 mg Vaginalovulum+2% cream includes a 1-day therapy with a depot effect.

Intake

Vaginal capsule: A vaginal capsule should be inserted deep into the vagina before bed.

Cream: For infections of the labia and adjacent areas, the cream should be applied thinly to the affected skin areas (external genitals up to the anus) 1-2 times a day and rubbed in lightly.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.During and until 2 days after treatment, sexual intercourse should be avoided using latex-free condoms.Application may cause a contact allergic reaction or hypersensitivity reaction.In this case, contact your doctor.

Due to lack of data, the drug should not be used in children.There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

For reasons of caution, you may only use the medicine during pregnancy after an appropriate benefit/risk assessment by your treating doctor.Treatment with the vaginal ovule during pregnancy should be carried out by a doctor.If you use the vaginal ovulum yourself, you should wash your hands thoroughly before inserting the vaginal ovulum to reduce the risk of an ascending infection.

If you are breastfeeding, you can use this medicine as directed by your doctor.

Notes

The drug is generally well tolerated on the skin and mucous membranes.After insertion into the vagina and at the start of using the cream, an inflammatory reddening of the skin, a slight burning sensation or itching may occasionally occur, but this usually disappears quickly.Hypersensitivity reactions, inflammatory changes in the skin (contact dermatitis) and allergic reactions have also been described.

Application

Adults and young people aged 16 and over:

Insert 1 soft capsule for vaginal use once daily in the evening.Apply the cream thinly to the infected skin areas 1-2 times a day.

Type and duration of application

The soft capsule for vaginal use is inserted deep into the vagina before bedtime.If symptoms persist, treatment can be repeated after three days.

Apply the cream thinly to the infected areas of the vulva and vulvoanal area.Relief from symptoms should begin within 1 to 3 days, but if no improvement is seen after seven days, you should consult a doctor.

No unprotected sexual intercourse should take place during or for 2 days after treatment.

Notes

Contains parabens and phospholipids from soybeans.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
