Instructions for use for KadeFungin 3 combination pack 20 g cream + 3 vaginal tablets, 1 pc
KadeFungin 3 combination pack: Quick help for vaginal thrush
KadeFungin 3 combination pack is an over-the-counter medication for the treatment of vaginal thrush. It contains the active ingredient clotrimazole, which has been tried and tested millions of times and acts as a broad-spectrum antimycotic. The treatment only lasts three days and is particularly effective.
The combination pack consists of vaginal tablets and cream. The vaginal tablets are inserted into the vagina using the applicator once a day at bedtime for three consecutive days.Pregnant women should skip the applicator and use their finger. The cream is applied three times a day to the outer labia and the area between the entrance to the vagina and the anus. The symptoms subside after the first application.
How does clotrimazole work for fungal infections in the intimate area?
The active ingredient clotrimazole attacks the cell membrane of the fungus and prevents it from reproducing and spreading. The treatment is carried out exclusively locally via the mucous membranes, which means that the active ingredient can act directly and hardly cause any side effects.
Typical symptoms of vaginal thrush
The most common symptom of a vaginal fungal infection caused by the pathogen Candida albicans is an unpleasant itching in the vaginal opening area.In addition, a burning or sore feeling may occur.Other symptoms may include increased, odorless, usually crumbly vaginal discharge, pain when urinating and a red or swollen intimate area.
Itching in the intimate area
A vaginal yeast infection can cause unpleasant and severe itching in the intimate area.Other symptoms may include increased, odorless, usually crumbly vaginal discharge, pain when urinating and a red or swollen intimate area.
Swelling and redness
Swelling and redness of the vulva (outer genital area) are symptoms of vaginal thrush that can occur.Sore, red or irritated areas are signs of existing inflammation of the skin, which in turn can cause pain during sex or urination.
Vaginal friable discharge
A common vaginal thrush symptom is a change in vaginal discharge.Normally, a woman's discharge is whitish to clear and odorless. However, in the case of a vaginal yeast infection it can become more severe and can be described as crumbly or curd-like.However, the discharge is odorless.
Symptoms in men
As a rule, the woman transmits the fungus to the man.The most common route of transmission is unprotected vaginal intercourse. However, transmission does not automatically mean that an infection will occur.Symptoms of a yeast infection in men can include redness of the foreskin and glans, as well as itching, burning and pain during sexual intercourse.
Is vaginal thrush dangerous?
No.Vaginal thrush is annoying, but a harmless disease that those affected can treat themselves with the over-the-counter medication KadeFungin 3 combination pack.
What are the causes of vaginal thrush?
The annoying symptoms are almost always the same, but the causes of vaginal thrush can be very different.Excessive intimate hygiene and hormonal changes often pave the way for the disease.Vaginal thrush can also be treated during pregnancy with KadeFungin 3 after consulting a doctor. The active ingredient clotrimazole is effective, well tolerated when used locally and harmless to the mother and the unborn child.
Why does the package include an applicator?
An applicator serves as an aid to inserting the vaginal tablet.Rigid applicators should not be used during pregnancy due to the risk of injury.
How can you prevent vaginal thrush?
Yeast infections can be prevented by strengthening the immune system and vaginal flora.A vaginal infection can occur, especially after treatment with antibiotics, because the sensitive vaginal flora is disturbed.
Tips for preventing vaginal thrush:
Intimate care with gentle intimate care products, wiping from front to back when using the toilet, wearing underwear made from natural fibers such as cotton, eating fresh food and vitamin-rich foods, avoiding stress and paying attention to hygiene during sex.
What can you do if the vaginal thrush keeps coming back?
Targeted hygiene rules support the healing process in the case of recurring vaginal yeast infections and prevent new infections with vaginal yeast infections.
These hygiene rules include:
Change towels, washcloths and underwear regularly and wash them at 60 degrees, avoid thongs and synthetic underwear and treat your partner after a medical diagnosis in order to avoid the so-called ping-pong effect. The ping-pong effect describes the transmission of the fungus through sexual intercourse and its replication if the vaginal flora is disturbed or the immune system is weakened.
Strengthen vaginal flora with lactic acid treatment
Lactic acid regulates and stabilizes the acidic pH value in the intimate area, which ensures that pathogenic germs cannot spread in the vagina.Lactic acid is normally produced by lactic acid bacteria in the vagina, called lactobacilli, which are an important part of the vaginal flora. If there is not enough lactic acid, for example due to a decrease in the number of lactobacilli due to the administration of antibiotics or changes in the hormonal balance, the vagina is more susceptible to infections. The supply of lactic acid as in KadeFlora lactic acid treatment lowers the pH value to the ideal acidic range and regenerates the vaginal flora.
How long should the vaginal yeast treatment with KadeFungin 3 last?
The symptoms of vaginal yeast infection are relieved by treatment, but usually last three days despite therapy. As a rule, a three-day treatment with KadeFungin 3 is sufficient. If necessary, this 3-day therapy can be repeated.
Can KadeFungin 3 be used during menstruation?
KadeFungin 3 should not be used during menstruation. The active ingredient is flushed out with the menstrual blood, so that successful treatment of vaginal mycosis cannot be achieved.
Can KadeFungin 3 be used during pregnancy?
KadeFungin 3 can be used during pregnancy to treat vaginal thrush. However, treatment during pregnancy should be carried out after a thorough risk-benefit assessment by the treating doctor.Furthermore, the vaginal tablet should be inserted into the vagina during pregnancy without the applicator. Please speak to your gynecologist.
Can KadeFungin 3 be used in young girls (children)?
There is no general age limit specified in the KadeFungin 3 instructions for use. However, a vaginal yeast infection is only possible if there is enough estrogen.Childhood girls are still in the hormonal resting phase and do not produce estrogen.A vaginal yeast infection is therefore unlikely. However, a vaginal infection due to bacteria can also occur in infancy. If a child is suspected of having an infection in the genital area, they should consult a pediatrician.
Are there any animal ingredients in KadeFungin 3 (vegan)?
KadeFungin 3 vaginal cream and KadeFungin 3 vaginal tablets do not contain any animal ingredients. However, KadeFungin 3 vaginal tablets contain lactose.
What if the vaginal tablet has not completely dissolved?
If the vagina is sufficiently moistened, the vaginal tablet can dissolve completely. With a little vaginal secretion, the tablet foams up and the active ingredient is distributed evenly on the vaginal skin.If you have vaginal dryness, using KadeFungin 3 vaginal tablets does not make sense. In this case, KadeFungin 3 vaginal cream should be used for vaginal yeast treatment.
Does KadeFungin 3 compromise condom safety?
Yes, condom safety is affected by using KadeFungin 3.The tear resistance of latex condoms is reduced.Condoms can be safely used again 48 hours after the last use of KadeFungin 3.
Can sexual intercourse take place while using KadeFungin 3?
Sexual intercourse is possible while using KadeFungin 3, but is not recommended. The inflamed vaginal skin is very sensitive.Swelling and redness of the vaginal skin and external genital organs can lead to pain during urination and sexual intercourse.Likewise, the pathogen can be transmitted to the sexual partner during unprotected sexual intercourse.
Is a vaginal yeast infection contagious?
A vaginal yeast infection is not contagious. However, the pathogen Candida albicans, which is responsible for the infection in around 85 to 95 percent of all cases, can be transmitted through sex or physical contact.
