GELENCIUM® EXTRACT - Vegetable film-coated tablets

GELENCIUM® EXTRACT is a non-prescription herbal medicine that is used to support the treatment of signs of wear and tear (degenerative diseases) of the musculoskeletal system.It contains a special extract from the medicinal plant Harpagophytum procumbens, which has been prepared as a well-tolerated medicinal substance.With the recommended daily dose of 2,400 mg, the herbal tablet is an effective therapy, especially for osteoarthritis patients with recurring or persistent pain.

Mode of action

GELENCIUM® EXTRACT has been approved as an effective herbal therapy for degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system.It helps relieve joint and back pain and improves mobility.The drug it contains provides comparable pain relief to conventional painkillers and is very well tolerated.

Area of application

The medicine is suitable for supportive treatment of signs of wear and tear of the musculoskeletal system, such as osteoarthritis, joint pain and back pain.It is particularly suitable for patients with recurring or persistent pain.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

The herbal film-coated tablets contain the protected HPG2400 extract® as the active ingredient.This is obtained from the storage roots of the well-known osteoarthritis medicinal plant Harpagophytum procumbens.The extract is obtained exclusively with water, which is gentle on the plants.The use of alcohol (ethanol) is completely avoided.The daily dose recommended by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) is 2,400 mg extract.

1 Film-coated tablet contains: 600 mg dry extract of devil's claw root (1.5-2.5:1), extractant: water.The other ingredients are: cellulose powder, highly disperse silicon dioxide, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (vegetable) (Ph.Eur.), carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A) (Ph.Eur.), microcrystalline cellulose, sucrose, stearic acid (Ph.Eur.), titanium dioxide (E171).

Contraindications

GELENCIUM® EXTRACT must not be used for allergies to devil's claw or for stomach and duodenal ulcers.Contains lactose and sucrose.If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

Dosage

Adults over 18 years of age take 2 film-coated tablets (2400 mg dry extract; equivalent to 4.8 g drug) twice a day.Please take GELENCIUM® EXTRACT whole with a little liquid in the morning and evening after meals.The application is not limited in time.The medicine is approved for long-term therapy.

Patient information

Information for allergy sufferers: Gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, fructose-free and dye-free.Contains lactose and sucrose.Note for diabetics: 1 film-coated tablet contains 0.018 bread units (BE).

Pregnancy

There are no sufficient studies on the use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding.Therefore, you should not use the medicine during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Notes

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.You must not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the blister and carton after “Use by”.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.Do not store above 25°C.No prescription is required for this product.
