Directions for use of the article Lactofem Lactic Acid Vaginal Suppositories: Lactofem Lactic Acid Vaginal Suppositories are suppositories for use in the vagina containing a mixture of lactic acid and sodium lactate. They are used to maintain or regulate the natural pH value in the vagina in adult women, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and in girls after consultation with a doctor. If there is a tendency to vaginal infections, long-term preventive treatment can be given without hesitation. The vaginal suppositories support the growth of bacteria typical of the vagina and have an unfavourable effect on the growth of pathogens in the vaginal area. They can therefore be used as a preventive measure against vaginal infections. It is not advisable to use them during menstruation. The duration of use is generally 5-7 days. For the regular maintenance of a normal pH value, the vaginal suppositories can also be used over a longer period of time. There are no precautions to be observed during use, unless there is hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients.
