Blephagel® Duo is a combination pack containing a 30 g tube of a gentle, preservative-free, and hypoallergenic gel, along with 100 lint-free cleansing pads.This product is specifically designed for the gentle cleansing of eyelids, eyelid margins, and eyelashes.It facilitates the removal of secretions, crusts, and scales.No prescription is required for this product.

Blephagel® is free from preservatives, alcohol (ethanol), and fragrances.It was developed to minimize the risk of allergic reactions and is particularly suitable for sensitive, hypersensitive, irritated, or damaged eyelids.The gel adheres well to the eyelids; it emulsifies and gently dissolves impurities—such as mucus, crusts, and scales—from the eyelids and the base of the eyelashes.It preserves the eyelids' natural moisture, refreshes, soothes, and relaxes them, leaving no greasy residue.

Indications

Daily eyelid hygiene is recommended by ophthalmologists for the following eye conditions: anterior and posterior blepharitis (eyelid inflammation); dry eyes caused by Meibomian gland dysfunction (malfunction of the sebaceous glands in the eyelids); ocular and eyelid involvement associated with acne rosacea (a skin condition causing facial redness); and ocular and eyelid involvement associated with seborrheic dermatitis (a skin condition causing facial redness and scaling).Additionally, eyelid hygiene is recommended before and after eye surgeries that require thorough cleansing of the eyelids and the base of the eyelashes.

Active ingredients / Ingredients

Blephagel Duo 30 g + Pads contains the following ingredients: Aqua, Poloxamer 188, PEG-90, Carbomer, Sodium hydroxide.

Contraindications

This product should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Dosage

Blephagel® is generally applied twice daily—morning and evening—or whenever the condition of the eyelids requires cleansing.For the first application, press lightly on the head of the tube for 3 seconds to move the gel into the pump.Then turn the tube upside down and press the pump head 3 times to activate the pump mechanism.Apply a small amount of gel to a pad by pressing the pump head, and remove any excess gel from the pump head's nozzle.Close one eye and, standing in front of a mirror, carefully apply the gel to the eyelid and the base of the eyelashes of the closed eye.Gently move the gel-soaked pad in a circular motion over the eyelids and the base of the eyelashes several times until all impurities have been removed.Carefully dab away any remaining gel with a clean compress and repeat the cleaning steps on the other eye using a new pad.

Notes

Do not use for longer than 8 weeks after opening.Store at room temperature (not above 25°C).Do not cut the tube open, to avoid contamination.
