Anyone who suffers from dry and irritated eyes can use Bepanthen® eye drops to moisten the surface of the eye, stabilize the tear film and thus protect the eye from a feeling of dryness.In this way, the symptoms are alleviated.The Bepanthen® eye drops are available as a single-dose container, which is practical for on the go, and in the soft-touch multi-dose bottle, which is particularly suitable for regular use.The eye drops contain neither preservatives nor phosphates and are suitable for contact lens wearers.

If your eyes burn, itch, feel dry or red, it is often due to our current lifestyle: constant staring at a screen, dry air from air conditioning in summer and heated air in winter or frequent plane travel.Allergies such as hay fever also cause problems for us and our eyes.If the exposure to environmental influences and other factors is too great, it can disrupt the composition of the tear fluid or reduce the production of tear fluid.And this sometimes leads to the tear film breaking.As a result, the eye becomes irritated and this is reflected in these symptoms, among others: feeling of dryness, burning, itching, foreign body sensation, sticky eyelids, sensitivity to light and visual disturbances.

Using Bepanthen® eye drops

When using the eye drops, pull your head back slightly and gently pull the lower eyelid down with one hand.With your other hand, place a drop into the conjunctival sac between the inside of the lower eyelid and the eye.Then, with your eyes closed, gently roll your eyeballs and apply gentle pressure with your fingertip to the tear duct for a few minutes.Repeat the process three to five times daily as needed.Hold the bottle vertically and close to your eye, but without touching the bottle opening with your hand or eye.Do not use the eye drops after the expiry date, which can be found on the packaging and on the bottle label, has been reached.The same applies if the safety ring or the bottle itself is damaged.

The ingredients of Bepanthen® eye drops

With the help of the physical properties of sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid), it is possible to ensure an even and stable protective film on the surface of the eye.The effect of the natural, highly water-binding hyaluronic acid is supported by a second ingredient: dexpanthenol, also known as provitamin B5.It also has moisturizing properties and provides additional care for irritated eyes.It is thanks to this combination that symptoms such as dryness or burning are alleviated in a gentle but effective way.

Bepanthen® eye drops contain: sodium hyaluronate 0.15%, dexpanthenol 2%, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, citric acid, water for injections.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using this product.

Dosage

Recommended use of Bepanthen® eye drops: Hands should be cleaned thoroughly before using the eye drops.Now tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid with one finger.With your other hand, hold the container of Bepanthen® eye drops vertically and close to the eye.You can now drip Bepanthen® eye drops into the conjunctival sac.After instillation, roll your eyeballs slightly and close your eyes carefully to distribute the liquid better.When using eye ointment at the same time, Bepanthen® eye drops should only be used 15-20 minutes after using the eye ointment.
