Bepanthen eye drops are a quick and gentle help for dry, irritated and tired eyes. They form a sterile, preservative-free protective film for the cornea and contain sodium hyaluronate and dexpanthenol. Sodium hyaluronate forms a stable protective film on the cornea and supports the moisture-retaining properties of the tear film. Dexpanthenol moisturises and cares for the eye. The combination of both ingredients protects and moisturises the surface of the eye and alleviates complaints such as mechanical strain, environmental stress and strained eyes. The eye drops are well tolerated, even with long-term use, and can also be used by contact lens wearers. They are applied 3-5 times a day by placing one drop in the conjunctival sac. The eye drops can be available in single-dose containers as well as in a multi-dose bottle. Application is quick and easy without having to remove the contact lenses. The eye drops do not contain preservatives or phosphates and should not be used after the expiry date. If there is no improvement in symptoms or they worsen, an ophthalmologist should be consulted.
