ActiMaris forte is a hypertonic, basic sea salt solution with active oxygen.This wound irrigation solution is particularly suitable for the initial cleaning of heavily fibrinous or purulent, infected or very foul-smelling wounds.With ActiMaris forte, acute, chronic, thermal and chemical wounds as well as entry ports of urological catheters, PEG-probes and drainages can be cleaned, rinsed, moistened and decontaminated.The solution can also be used for intraoperative cleaning and irrigation of wounds, loosening crusted wound dressings, and moistening inactive dressings.

Mode of action

ActiMaris forte is used for the initial cleaning of heavily fibrinous or purulent wounds that are heavily colonized with germs and smell bad.In addition to the intensive cleaning performance, thanks to the optimal interaction of active oxygen, ionized sea water and alkaline pH value, inflammation is reduced, wound edema is flushed out and extreme odors are eliminated quickly and for a long time.The fast, intensive cleaning performance is achieved through the higher concentration of NaCl and NaOCl.Since the trace elements of ActiMaris forte are present in their natural, physiological complex compounds, the cell environment and wound metabolism are positively influenced.ActiMaris forte is also suitable for sensitive, irritated and inflamed skin and mucous membranes.

Active odor reduction

Application instructions

ActiMaris forte can be used at room temperature.For wounds with an increased tendency to pain, the wound irrigation solution can be warmed to body temperature immediately before use.Before using ActiMaris forte, the wounds should first be rinsed and cleaned sensitively with ActiMaris to remove dirt and easily removable deposits.The subsequent deep cleaning and odor reduction is then carried out with ActiMaris forte.For this purpose, bandages soaked in the wound irrigation solution are used.The recommended duration of the wet phase is 5-10 minutes for heavily fibrinous or purulent, infected or very foul-smelling wounds.The duration and frequency of application must be adapted to the individual wound conditions and should be carried out until all deposits and necrosis can be easily removed.After the wound condition has improved, the use of ActiMaris sensitive is recommended for further wound cleaning.Then cover the wound with an adequate primary or secondary dressing.ActiMaris forte is suitable for short-term use for up to 7 days, even on sensitive/irritated skin and mucous membranes.The wound irrigation solution is rated as dermatologically harmless.The application is painless and is generally well tolerated by allergy sufferers.
