Emser nasal drops are a saline local therapeutic agent for the treatment of diseases of the upper respiratory tract. They are used for supportive treatment by moistening, cleansing and decongesting the nasal mucosa in banal acute infections of the upper respiratory tract and chronic rhinosinusitis. In addition, they can also be used as an accompanying measure to accelerate the healing process after endonasal sinus surgery. The dosage depends on the individual need and is one to three drops in each nostril once or several times a day. The duration of use is not limited. Emser nose drops are well tolerated and do not contain any preservatives. They can therefore also be used in babies, small children, pregnant women and breastfeeding women. Possible side effects are mild irritation such as burning and tingling in the nose as well as headaches, but these rarely occur. The drops should be stored at room temperature, protected from frost. In case of overdose or use of Emser Nasentropfen during pregnancy or breastfeeding, there is no known risk.
