Cefabronchin oral drops are a traditional herbal medicine used to help loosen mucus and relieve irritation in the respiratory tract in cold-related coughs. It contains thyme herb, Iceland moss, beaver root, eucalyptus leaves, star anise fruit and bitter fennel fruit as active ingredients. The medicinal product is only suitable for people over 12 years of age and must not be taken in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients mentioned or in cases of inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, the bile ducts and severe liver disease. The usual dose is 20 drops every 2 hours up to 6 times a day, with a maximum total daily dose of 120 drops. The duration of use should not exceed one week. If symptoms persist or other side effects occur, a doctor should be consulted. The medicinal product contains 28% alcohol by volume as well as glucose, fructose and potassium hydrogen sulphite.
