Hepaplex is a homeopathic medicine that is used to improve the symptoms of liver and gallbladder disorders.The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic drug pictures.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The oral mixture contains the following active ingredients: Berberis vulgaris, Chelidonium majus, Silybum marianum, Stannum metallicum and Veronica virginica.Ethanol is included as an auxiliary ingredient.

Application and dosage

For adults and adolescents aged 12 and over, the dosage in acute conditions is 5 drops every half to an hour, a maximum of 6 times a day.For chronic forms, 5 drops are recommended 1 to 3 times a day.The drops should be diluted with liquid and are best taken before meals.If the symptoms improve, the frequency of use should be reduced.

Use for more than a week should only be carried out after consultation with a homeopathically experienced therapist.If used for more than four weeks, liver function values should be checked.

Contraindications and precautions

Hepaplex should not be used on alcoholics.It should not be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding and children under 12 years of age.Due to the alcohol content, the medicine should only be used by liver patients, epileptics and people with organic brain diseases after consulting a doctor.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Hepaplex can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.Very rarely, increases in liver function tests and bilirubin, including drug-related jaundice, can be observed.When using a homeopathic medicine, the existing symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation).
