Carmenthin soft capsules for indigestion contain a combination of peppermint oil and caraway oil. These have an antispasmodic, analgesic and flatulence-relieving effect. Carmenthin relieves digestive complaints such as bloating, flatulence and mild abdominal cramps. The capsules are enteric-coated and release the essential oils in the intestine. The recommended dosage is 2 capsules per day for adults and children over 12 years. The duration of use should not exceed one week, unless a doctor recommends otherwise. Carmenthine may be contraindicated in hypersensitivity to the ingredients, gastric juice production restrictions, liver damage, gallstone disease, biliary tract inflammation or disease, and in children under 12 years of age. Side effects may include stomach discomfort. Care should be taken that the soft capsules are swallowed whole. The medicine must be stored away from heat.
