Directions for use for Ampuwa solution for injection/infusion: Ampuwa is a solution for the preparation of parenterals. It is used as a solvent to dissolve and dilute medicinal products for injection or infusion according to the appropriate directions for use. Ampuwa contains water for injection as the only ingredient. There are different containers such as glass ampoules, polyethylene ampoules, glass and polyethylene injection bottles, glass and polyethylene bottles and different types of sachets. It is recommended that you read the package leaflet before use and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. Ampuwa is not suitable for intravenous administration alone, but must first be brought to an approximately isotonic state with a suitable solute. In case of overdose or haemolysis, the treatment should be discontinued. Possible side effects are haemolysis.
