Xailin Hydrate eye drops provide effective lubrication and protection for the eyes.They provide immediate relief from symptoms such as burning, irritation or a grainy feeling.The eye drops are easy to use and contain no preservatives.They are ideal for contact lens wearers.

Area of application

Xailin Hydrate eye drops are used to moisten and protect the eye.They provide immediate relief from feelings of dryness.The symptoms of dry eye arise from disorders of the surface of the eye, which can have various causes.Either the natural tears are of poor quality or the tear production is too low to keep the eye sufficiently moist.

Mode of action

Xailin Hydrate eye drops contain a viscous and hypotonic solution of 0.2% Carbomer 980. Carbomer gel has excellent mucoadhesive properties and moisturizes the eye by evenly wetting the corneal and conjunctival surfaces.The eye drops contain hypromellose 0.3% m/V, sodium perborate and an aqueous, buffered carrier solution.A disappearing preservative breaks down into water and oxygen upon contact with the eye, minimizing irritation.

Xailin Hydrate eye drops contain hypromellose 0.3% m/V, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium tetraborate, boric acid, a stabilized oxychlor complex and water for injections.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

The usual dose is one or two drops, two to four times daily as needed.No dosage adjustment is required in children.No prescription is required for this product.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have recently had an ophthalmic procedure, ask your doctor, pharmacist or optician for advice before use.

Notes

Do not use if the safety ring on the bottle cap is damaged.Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.Do not touch the tip of the bottle to your eye or any surface.Do not share the eye drops with another person.Blurred vision may occur after use.Wait until you can see clearly before driving or operating machines.Do not use the eye drops after the expiry date.Store the eye drops between 1°C and 25°C and discard the opened bottle after 28 days.Keep the eye drops out of the reach and sight of children.The eye drops are only intended for external use on the eyes and must not be swallowed.

Application

Wash and dry your hands carefully before use.Turn the cap counterclockwise to break the seal and remove the cap.Tilt your head back and look up.Gently pull the lower eyelid down so that a small pocket forms between the eyelid and eye.Hold the bottle between the thumb and middle finger of your other hand and gently press the bottom of the bottle with your index finger to release a drop into the eyelid pocket.Blink several times.If you missed the eye, introduce another drop.Wipe off any excess eye drops with a tissue and repeat the process for the other eye if necessary.Put the cap back on and avoid touching the applicator tip.Wash your hands after application.Leave a gap of at least 30 minutes between use and other ophthalmic medicines.If you are unsure or your symptoms persist, contact your doctor, pharmacist or optician.
