FeniHydrocort is a versatile product that can be used all year round for various skin irritations.The cream with hydrocortisone as an active ingredient has a triple effect: it relieves itching, reduces swelling and reduces redness.The cream also contains nourishing dexpanthenol and does not contain alcohol, fragrances and parabens.It is suitable for children aged 6 and over.
Area of application
FeniHydrocort cream can be used for various forms of skin inflammation, including eczema, contact allergies such as nickel or fragrance allergies, mild neurodermatitis, mild sunburn, inflamed insect bites and sun allergy.
Mode of action
The active ingredient hydrocortisone promotes the production of anti-inflammatory messenger substances and at the same time inhibits the production of inflammatory messenger substances.This alleviates symptoms of inflammation.

Ingredients of FeniHydrocort cream 0.25%, hydrocortisone 2.5 mg/g: 1 g cream for application to the skin contains 2.5 mg hydrocortisone as a medicinally active ingredient.The other ingredients are glycerol 85%, [(Z)-Octadec-9-en-1-yl]oleate, emulsifying cetostearyl alcohol (type A) (emulsifier), medium chain triglycerides, octyldodecanol, glycerol monostearate, dimeticone (350 cSt), potassium sorbate (preservative), carbomer (40,000-60,000 cP), sodium edetate,trometamol and purified water.
Contraindications
FeniHydrocort cream 0.25%, hydrocortisone 2.5 mg/g should not be used if you are hypersensitive to hydrocortisone or any of the other ingredients it contains, certain skin and viral diseases or fungal infections, vaccination reactions, rosacea, acne vulgaris and steroid acne as well as open wounds.The cream should not be used on mucous membranes or near the mouth or eyes.
Dosage
Adults and children over the age of 6 should apply the cream thinly to the inflamed area of skin 1-2 times a day at the start of treatment and rub in lightly.Once the clinical picture improves, a single application per day is usually sufficient.A treatment period of 2 weeks should not be exceeded and large-area application (more than 1/10 of the body surface) should be avoided.
Intake
The medicine is intended for application to the skin and for external use only.Avoid use on the mouth and nostrils.Apply the cream thinly to the affected skin areas and rub in lightly.Please wash your hands after applying the cream.
Patient information
Particular caution is required when using on the face, especially around the eyes, on sore skin areas, especially in skin folds, around skin ulcers and in the genital and anal areas.The cream should not be used on open wounds or on an area larger than 1/10 of the body surface.Particular caution is required with children because children have a larger body surface area in relation to their body weight.Children up to the age of 6 may only be treated with this medicine as prescribed by a doctor.Particular caution is required for older people because the barrier performance of the outer layer of skin is weaker in old age.There are no known effects on the ability to drive or use machines.
Pregnancy
Before using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.You may only use the product during pregnancy and breastfeeding if strictly indicated by your doctor.During pregnancy, especially in the first three months of pregnancy, and while breastfeeding, you should not use the medicine over large areas or for a long time.With long-term use, growth disorders within the uterus cannot be ruled out.If treated at the end of pregnancy, the fetus is at risk of a reduction in the size of the adrenal cortex.Glucocorticoids are excreted in breast milk.If there is a compelling indication, breastfeeding should be discontinued.Newborns whose mothers were treated long-term and/or extensively with corticosteroids during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be monitored more closely for possible undesirable sequelae.Do not use the product on the breast area while breastfeeding to avoid unwanted oral absorption by the baby.

No prescription is required for this product.Contains cetostearyl alcohol and potassium sorbate. Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
