Directions for use of the article Ambroxol Aristo Hustensaft 30 mg/5ml Ambroxol Aristo Cough Syrup is used for the expectorant treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs with thick mucus. The active ingredient ambroxol hydrochloride helps to loosen the stuck mucus and make it easier to cough up. The dosage depends on the age of the patient. For babies and toddlers under 2 years of age, the recommended dose is 1.25 ml twice a day. Children from 2 to 5 years should take 1.25 ml three times a day, while children from 6 to 12 years should take 2.5 ml 2-3 times a day. Adolescents from 12 years and adults usually take 5 ml three times a day for the first 2-3 days and 5 ml twice a day thereafter. The cough syrup is taken with or independently of meals. The pack contains a 5 ml measuring spoon for exact dosage. After use, the measuring spoon should be thoroughly cleaned with warm water. The duration of use should not exceed 4-5 days. In case of persistent deterioration or lack of improvement, you should consult a doctor. If you have any questions about the dosage or effect of the cough syrup, ask your doctor or pharmacist. It should be stored at room temperature and protected from light. The cough syrup can be stored for 3 months after opening. Various side effects may occur, including gastrointestinal complaints, skin reactions and swelling. In case of possible overdose symptoms such as restlessness, vomiting or diarrhoea, a doctor should be consulted immediately. The medicinal product should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to ambroxol or other ingredients. A doctor should be consulted before use in the case of certain medical conditions or during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
