Instructions for use for the Alvita wrist blood pressure monitor: The Alvita wrist blood pressure monitor provides a quick, easy and accurate measurement at home. It has been validated according to the standards of the European Society of Hypertension and offers confidence in the measurements. The device has a large memory for up to 90 results and a convenient inflation technology for greater comfort and further use. It measures both systolic and diastolic blood pressure and pulse for a comprehensive picture of the patient's health. Putting on the cuff: - Wristwatches and jewellery should be removed before applying the cuff. - The cuff should be applied on bare skin to obtain correct measurements. - The device is placed on the left wrist, about 1 cm from the edge of the palm. - The cuff must be securely fastened with the Velcro strap to obtain accurate measurements. - If blood circulation is poor in the left arm, the cuff can also be carefully applied to the right wrist. Correct body posture during measurement: - The elbow should be placed on a table so that the cuff is at heart level. - If the cuff is not at the same height as the heart or the arm cannot be held still during the measurement, the arm should be supported with a soft object. - The palm should be turned upwards and the body relaxed. - During the measurement you should sit upright and take five to six deep breaths.
