Area of application

Fructaid capsules are used to prevent and relieve digestive problems caused by fructose malabsorption.This product is available without a prescription.

Mode of action

The active ingredient in Fructaid capsules is the enzyme glucose isomerase.This enzyme helps in the small intestine to convert unabsorbed fructose into easily absorbed glucose.

Contraindications

Fructaid capsules should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Dosage

Fructaid capsules are taken before a meal that contains fructose.As a rule, 1 to 4 capsules per meal are sufficient.

Notes

Fructaid capsules are not suitable for people with hereditary fructose intolerance.

Application

Take 1 to 4 capsules with liquid a few minutes before consuming foods and drinks containing fructose up to four times daily.Children over 100 cm tall should not take more than 10 capsules per day.The amount required depends on the individual sensitivity to fructose as well as the fructose content and composition of the food or drink consumed.

Ingredients

The ingredients of Fructaid capsules are cellulose, hypromellose, glucose isomerase, methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1) dispersion 30%, talc, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, trehalose, triethyl citrate and E 171. Since Fructaid does not contain any ingredients of animal origin, it is also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.It is also lactose-free and can be used by people with lactose intolerance.

Notes

Fructaid capsules are not intended for people with hereditary fructose intolerance.Diabetics should calculate the fructose content of food or drinks as glucose and only use Fructaid under medical supervision.If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, Fructaid must not be taken.Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children should only use the product after consulting a doctor.Keep Fructaid out of the reach of children and store at 15 to 25°C.
