Summary: Ciclopirox acis 80 mg/g is an active ingredient-containing nail varnish for the treatment of fungal nail infections. The active substance ciclopirox penetrates the nail plate and is effective against the most important pathogens of nail fungal infections. The nail varnish is applied to the affected nail every other day during the first month and then reduced to at least two applications per week during the second month. The application period should not exceed 6 months. The nail varnish is waterproof and seals the nail to ensure good absorption of the active ingredient. There are several application instructions to follow, such as removing the destroyed nail tissue before treatment and using the enclosed alcohol swabs and spatula. Ciclopirox acis nail polish should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under 6 years of age should also not use the product. Side effects may include skin irritation. The product should be stored away from heat.
