Description

Aescin, the active ingredient in Reparil dragees, is obtained from horse chestnuts.Aescin has a diuretic, anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling effect.Edema decreases and feelings of pressure, tension and heaviness are relieved.

Areas of application

Reparil dragees are used to support the treatment of inflammation and congestion in the venous area, such as varicose vein problems or chronic venous insufficiency.They can also be used for spinal pain, swelling after injuries, headaches after a concussion or tendonitis.The preparation has a decongestant effect in the event of injuries and can be used for localized swelling after injuries.

One dragee contains 20 mg of amorphized escin.The other ingredients are lactose-1 water, povidone K29-32, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, arabic gum, titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide, highly dispersed methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1), macrogol 8000, sodium hydroxide, carmellose sodium, triethyl citrate, simeticone emulsion, wax, bleached, carnauba wax,Eudragit L 100 - 55, Simeticon Emulsion and Carmellose, sodium salt.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to escin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.The product should also not be used if you have kidney insufficiency or kidney disease or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described or exactly as discussed with your doctor or pharmacist.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: Adults and young people aged 14 years and over initially take 2 tablets 3 times a day, as a maintenance dose and in milder cases 1 tablet 3 times a day.Children aged 7 to 14 years take 1 tablet 2 to 3 times daily.

There is no limit to the duration of use.Poisoning and overdose symptoms are not known.
