Aspecton cough suppressant Icelandic moss juice is a syrup that is used for irritation of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat and the associated dry, irritating cough.The syrup is alcohol, sugar, gluten and lactose free.

Mode of action

The ingredients of Icelandic moss (Lichen islandicus) form a protective film over the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat.This protects the irritated mucous membrane from external influences and prevents the development of coughs.The irritation-relieving effect is achieved by the high proportion of mucilage in the Icelandic moss extract.These mucilages bind water to the surface and thus prevent the mucous membranes from drying out.

Active ingredients and ingredients

100 ml Aspecton cough suppressant Icelandic moss juice contains 11.12 g liquid extract from Lichen islandicus (1:1).Other ingredients include potassium sorbate, maltitol solution, citric acid anhydrous, hydroxyethyl cellulose, macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate, propylene glycol, sucralose, honey flavor and purified water.

The syrup is used for irritation of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat and the associated dry, irritating cough.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 11 and over take 10 ml 3 to 4 times daily.Children from 5 to 10 years take 10 ml twice a day, and children from 1 to 4 years take 5 ml 1 to 2 times a day. The pack includes a measuring cup for precise dosage.

Notes

For diabetics: 10 ml corresponds to 0.29 bread units (BE).The product contains maltitol.Macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate can cause stomach upset and diarrhea.No prescription is required for this product.
