Area of application

Folio 2 iodine-free film-coated tablets are a dietary supplement that can be taken from the 13th week of pregnancy until the end of breastfeeding.The micronutrients folic acid, vitamin B12 and vitamin D3 play an important role in the child's development.

Mode of action

Folic acid is essential for cell division and growth processes, the development of organs and the nervous system, and the growth of maternal tissue.Vitamin B12 supports the functions of the nervous and immune systems, the formation of red blood cells and the energy balance.Vitamin D3 contributes to the normal development of the skeletal, muscular and immune systems and may reduce the risk of certain pregnancy complications.

Folio 2 iodine-free film-coated tablets contain the following ingredients: fillers such as cellulose and monocalcium phosphate, coating agents such as hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, anti-caking agents such as magnesium salts of fatty acids, pteroylmonoglutamic acid (folic acid), cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) and cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12).

Nutrients per tablet: folic acid 400 µg (200% reference amount), vitamin D3 20 µg (400% reference amount, equivalent to 800 IU), vitamin B12 9 µg (400% reference amount).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

The recommended dosage is one mini-tablet daily, swallowed whole with some liquid, preferably during a meal.

Storage conditions

The tablets must be stored dry, not above 25°C and out of the reach of small children.Storing them in the bathroom or refrigerator should be avoided as the tablets are sensitive to moisture.
