1 Film-coated tablet contains 240 mg dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves (35-67:1), extractant: acetone 60% (m/m).The extract contains ginkgo flavonoid glycosides, bilobalides, ginkgolides A+B+C, ginkgolic acids and terpene lactones.Other ingredients are cellulose, microcrystalline, citric acid, anhydrous, iron (III) hydroxide oxide x-water, Eudragit E 100, glucose syrup, spray-dried, glucose, lactose, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.) [pflanzlich], sodium dodecyl sulfate, castor oil, hydrogenated, saccharin, sodium salt, silicon dioxide, highly disperse, amorphous,hydrophobic, stearic acid, talc, total sodium ion and vanillin.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to Ginkgo biloba or any of the other ingredients or if you are pregnant.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the recommended dose is: Adults should take 1 film-coated tablet once a day (corresponding to 240 mg ginkgo extract per day).The medicine is not intended for use in people under 18 years of age.There are no sufficient data for specific dosage recommendations for impaired kidney/liver function.

The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks.After a treatment period of 3 months, the doctor must check whether continued treatment is still justified.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of this medicine is too strong or too weak.

If you have taken more than you should, please notify your doctor.Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose.Interrupting or prematurely ending treatment is usually harmless.

Intake

To be taken.Do not take film-coated tablets while lying down.Please take the film-coated tablets whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water).It can be taken regardless of meals.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the product.There is no indication for children and adolescents.In the case of a pathologically increased tendency to bleeding or simultaneous treatment with anticoagulant medicines, this medicine should only be used after consulting a doctor.Since there is some evidence that preparations containing ginkgo can increase the risk of bleeding, this medicine should be discontinued 3 to 4 days before an operation as a precaution.Please inform your doctor in good time if you have taken the preparation so that he can decide how to proceed.If you have a known seizure disorder (epilepsy), please consult your doctor before taking the product.If you are being treated with efavirenz, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.

Studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines have not been carried out.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Since Ginkgo biloba extracts can impair the ability to aggregate blood platelets, this medicine must not be taken during pregnancy.This medicine should not be used during breastfeeding as there are no sufficient studies.It is not known whether the ingredients of the extract pass into breast milk.

Notes

Contains lactose and glucose.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
