Ginkgo-Maren® 240 mg film-coated tablets contain a dry extract from Ginkgo biloba leaves.Due to its blood circulation-promoting properties, this extract strengthens important functions of the brain when mental performance declines.This means your memory stays fit and resilient for longer.The ability to concentrate and the ability to think are also positively influenced.

1 Film-coated tablet contains 240 mg dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves (35-67:1), extractant: acetone 60% (m/m).The extract is quantified to contain 52.8-64.8 mg flavonoids, calculated as flavonoid glycosides, as well as 12.0-16.8 mg terpene lactones, of which 6.72-8.16 mg ginkgolides A, B and C and 6.24-7.68 mg bilobalide and contains less than 1.2 µg ginkgolic acids per film-coated tablet.Other ingredients are spray-dried glucose syrup, highly disperse, hydrophobic silicon dioxide, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, citric acid, talc, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.) [pflanzlich], basic butyl methacrylate copolymer (Ph. Eur.), sodium dodecyl sulfate, stearic acid (Ph. Eur.) [pflanzlich],Saccharin sodium, vanillin, iron (III) hydroxide oxide (E 172), hydrogenated castor oil.

Contraindications

If you are hypersensitive to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients, the product should not be taken.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dose is: Adults should take 1 film-coated tablet once a day.The film-coated tablet has a break line and can be divided into two equal halves to make it easier to take.The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks.After a treatment period of 3 months, a medical check should be carried out to determine whether continued treatment is still justified.

Intake

To be taken.Do not take film-coated tablets while lying down.Please take the film-coated tablets whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water).It can be taken regardless of meals.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking it.There are no sufficient studies on the use of this medicine in the age group under 18 years.It should therefore not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 18.In the case of a pathologically increased tendency to bleeding or simultaneous treatment with anticoagulant medicines, this medicine should only be used after consulting a doctor.Since there is some evidence that preparations containing ginkgo could increase the risk of bleeding, this medicine should be discontinued before surgery as a precaution.Please inform your doctor in good time if you have taken this medicine so that he or she can decide how to proceed.If you have a known seizure disorder (epilepsy), please consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Pregnancy

Since there is some evidence that preparations containing ginkgo could increase the risk of bleeding, this medicine must not be taken during pregnancy.This medicine should not be used during breastfeeding as there are no sufficient studies.It is not known whether the ingredients of the extract pass into breast milk.

Notes

Contains lactose and glucose.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
