MARRUBIN® Horehound bronchial drops is a traditional herbal medicine that is used to loosen mucus in coughs associated with colds.It is a proven and natural cough reliever that makes it easier to cough up thick bronchial mucus.The drops contain bitter substances from white horehound and are suitable for adults and young people aged 12 and over.

The active ingredient in MARRUBIN® horehound bronchial drops is horehound fluid extract.One milliliter of the oral liquid contains 1.04 grams of fluid extract from horehound herb, prepared with ethanol 30% (V/V) as an extractant.One milliliter is approximately 24 drops.

Area of application

MARRUBIN® Horehound bronchial drops are traditionally used to loosen mucus for coughs associated with colds.It stimulates and liquefies secretions, makes it easier to cough up thick bronchial mucus and has pain-relieving and antispasmodic properties.It can be used for cold coughs, dry coughs and dry coughs.

Mode of action

MARRUBIN® Horehound bronchial drops belongs to the group of expectorants, i.e. cough relievers.The highly concentrated extract from white horehound contains valuable ingredients that are mainly attributed to the bitter substance marrubiin.These substances promote the loosening of mucus and make it easier to cough up.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, particularly horehound, the product should not be used.In addition, it must not be taken in cases of bile duct obstruction, inflammation of the bile duct, liver disease and intestinal obstruction.

Dosage

The usual dose for adolescents aged 12 and over and adults is 40 drops three times a day, for a total daily dose of 120 drops.The drops should be taken with sufficient liquid before or with meals.As part of self-medication, the product should not be taken for longer than a week.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.The safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been adequately studied.It is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

There are no sufficient studies on the use of this medicine in children under 12 years of age.It should therefore not be used in this age group.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Notes

MARRUBIN® Horehound bronchial drops contains 23 percent alcohol by volume.The amount in 40 drops of this medicine is equivalent to less than 11 milliliters of beer or 5 milliliters of wine.The small amount of alcohol in this medicine has no noticeable effects.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
