Ready-to-use disinfectant wipes for sensitive surfaces and medical devices

Mikrozid sensitive wipes premium maxi are alcohol-free disinfectant wipes that were specially developed for the quick and effective disinfection of non-invasive medical devices and surfaces.The wipes have a size of 25 x 25 cm and consist of an aqueous solution on non-woven fabric.The solution is colorless, has a density of approx. 1.00 g/cm³ at 20 °C and a pH value between 6 and 8.

Areas of application

These disinfectant wipes are ideal for cleaning and disinfecting medical devices and various surfaces.Due to their good material compatibility, they are particularly suitable for sensitive surfaces, such as those often found in hospitals.Even ultrasound heads can be disinfected with these wipes.For medical inventory within the meaning of the Medical Devices Act (MPG), they are suitable for surfaces of non-immersible medical products such as stethoscopes or ultrasound heads for abdominal examinations as well as acrylic glass.For semi-critical medical devices such as vaginal probes, a final virucidal disinfection is required.For areas in accordance with the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR), they are suitable for sensitive work surfaces in hospitals, medical and dental practices, ambulances, small work areas in old people's and nursing homes and medical laboratories.

Application instructions

The surface should be wiped thoroughly with the cloth and the active ingredient solution should be allowed to take effect.Make sure that the surface is completely wetted and kept moist throughout the entire exposure time.Make sure all visible contamination is removed before disinfection.Only small areas should be treated.The wiping range depends on the room temperature and the structure of the surfaces to be disinfected.When opening and threading the first cloth, hygiene aspects should be taken into account.After use, the lid should be closed again.These wipes are intended for professional use only.Serious incidents related to the product must be reported to the manufacturer and the responsible authority.No prescription is required for this product.

Refilling the can

First, your hands should be disinfected and fresh protective gloves and a gown should be put on.During the filling process, care should be taken to ensure that the gloves are not contaminated by other activities.The expiration date should be transferred to the dispenser can.The lid is unscrewed, the refill bag is placed completely into the dispenser container (if necessary previously shaped to fit) and the edge of the bag is cut off.The pre-plucked cloth is pulled from the center of the roll, threaded from below into the guide slot provided in the lid and pulled through.The lid is disinfected and screwed on.For high-risk areas, it is recommended to avoid using refill bags.

Composition

100 g of the solution contains the following active ingredients: 0.26 g alkyl (C12-16) dimethyl benzylammonium chloride (ADBAC/BKC (C12-16)), 0.26 g didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (DDAC) and 0.26 g alkyl (C12-14) ethyl benzy ammonium chloride (ADEBAC (C12-C14)).

Use disinfectant carefully.Always read label and product information before use.The suitability of the product with regard to its spectrum of effectiveness must be checked separately.The following applies to surface disinfectants: "Disinfectants differ, among other things, in their spectrum of effects on microorganisms. This must be taken into account in the respective areas when selecting a suitable preparation."Please note that there are known cases with bacterial strains that show reduced sensitivity or development of tolerance to disinfectants.In these cases, products based on quaternary ammonium compounds may not be sufficiently effective.Therefore, for high-risk areas (such as intensive care, hemato-oncology, neonatology or burns ward) we recommend using mikrozid® PAA wipes or mikrozid® AF wipes to disinfect the surfaces, which cover a particularly broad spectrum of effectiveness due to their properties.Wearing protective gloves is recommended.
