The Veroval® wrist blood pressure monitor enables fully automatic blood pressure and pulse measurement on the wrist.For precise measurement results, the device should be positioned at heart level.An integrated position control helps to find the correct position, which is confirmed by an "OK" on the display.The measurement results can be saved, analyzed and forwarded to the doctor if necessary using the Veroval® medi.connect software.

Features

The device offers fully automatic blood pressure and pulse measurement on the wrist with arrhythmia detection.It has a large, easy-to-read display with integrated position control.The Veroval® medi.connect software enables easy data management and storage, including the display of average values and morning and evening blood pressure values for the last 7 days.The measurement quality is confirmed by the quality seal of the European Society for Hypertension (ESH).The scope of delivery includes a storage box, two 1.5V AAA-batteries, a USB-cable and 200 memory slots (100 each for two users).

Application

The device is intended exclusively for measuring blood pressure on the human wrist and should only be used on people with the specified wrist circumference.In case of doubtful measurements, the measurement should be repeated.The cuff must not be placed on other parts of the body or excessively bent or kinked.The device should not be used near strong electromagnetic fields or radio equipment.Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth and avoid contact with thinners, alcohol, cleaning agents or solvents.The cuff can be cleaned with mild soapy water, but not completely submerged in water.To protect it from external influences, the device should be stored in the storage box.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product.The device should never be left unattended near small children or people who cannot operate it alone.Blood pressure measurements should not be performed on newborns, babies and young children.The cuff should not be placed over wounds or on people who have had a mastectomy or lymph node removal.The cuff should not be used during intravenous treatment or venous access in the arm.The device is not waterproof and should not be opened or repaired yourself.Repairs may only be carried out by authorized specialists.Store the device at temperatures between -20°C and 50°C and a humidity of 0% to 85%, protected from shock, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, moisture, dust and direct sunlight.Keep the packaging, batteries and device out of the reach of children.

Dosage

The measurement should be taken on the bare wrist and the cuff should not be placed over a prominent hand bone.The device is positioned in the middle of the inside of the wrist.The measurement should be taken in a quiet place in a relaxed and comfortable sitting position.It is recommended to take the measurement on the left wrist unless it shows significantly higher values.Before the measurement you should rest for about 5 minutes, do not consume nicotine or coffee and do not suffer from a strong urge to urinate.You should not move or speak during the measurement.There should be a break of at least one minute between two measurements.The measurements should be documented with the date, time and medications taken.Regular measurements at the same time of day are important for a meaningful assessment of blood pressure values.

Goal of treatment

The treatment goal is to reduce blood pressure to below 140/90 mmHg for all patients.If the therapy is well tolerated, values of 130/80 mmHg or lower should be aimed for.In patients under 65 years of age, it is recommended to reduce the systolic blood pressure (SBP) to 120-129 mmHg, while in older patients (65 years and older) an SBP in the range of 130-139 mmHg is aimed for.

Self-care for high blood pressure

There are various measures that can help lower blood pressure without the need for medication.These include regularly measuring blood pressure, following your doctor's recommendations, achieving and maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol consumption, reducing salt intake (and using spices instead), eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, using plant-based fats and high-quality oils, quitting smoking, engaging in regular physical activity, and ensuring sufficient rest and relaxation.
