Gingonin 120 mg hard capsules are a herbal medicinal product containing a dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves. It is used to improve age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. The capsules should be taken by adults and elderly patients twice daily, independently of meals. The recommended duration of treatment is at least 8 weeks. Particular caution should be exercised in people with an increased tendency to bleed who are taking blood-thinning medication. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take the medicine. Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting and lower abdominal pain. In rare cases, allergic skin reactions, hypersensitivity reactions and bleeding in individual organs may occur. In case of questions and side effects, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
