Ginseng SL is a herbal medicinal product used as a tonic for strengthening and invigorating feelings of tiredness and weakness and for decreasing performance and concentration. It contains 166.7 mg dry extract of ginseng root extracted in a ratio of 2.1-3.9:1 with ethanol 40% (v/v). The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 1-2 hard capsules twice daily. It should preferably be taken in the morning until noon. A treatment period of up to three months is recommended, followed by a one-month break. Possible side effects are nausea, stomach discomfort, vomiting, mild diarrhoea or constipation. Ginseng SL should not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or other ingredients, or if diabetes requires treatment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use the medicine. It should be kept away from heat and moisture and out of the reach of children. Interactions with other medicines are possible and should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist.
