Ginkgo STADA 40 mg film-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product used to improve age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. The tablets contain a dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves. The recommended dosage for adults and elderly patients is three 40 mg film-coated tablets twice daily. They should be taken in the morning and evening and can be taken independently of meals. The treatment should last at least 8 weeks. If there is no improvement in symptoms after 3 months or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted. Side effects are rare and may include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache and allergic skin reactions. People who are hypersensitive to the ingredients or suffer from an increased tendency to bleed should not use the medicine. Pregnant women should also not take the medicine.
