Desmanol care

Desmanol care is a dye- and perfume-free alcohol-based rub that is used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.It contains nourishing panthenol and is an all-season product that reliably protects against infections all year round.The product is characterized by a broad spectrum of activity, including limited virucidal activity according to EN 14476. It is free of remanent active ingredients and is on the RKI-list according to § 18 IfSG.Desmanol care is a medicine.

Area of application

Desmanol care alcoholic hand disinfection is used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.For hygienic hand disinfection, it is sufficient to rub a sufficient amount of the product into dry hands for 30 seconds.For surgical hand disinfection, a sufficient amount of the product should be rubbed into dry hands and forearms for 90 seconds.

Microbiological effectiveness

Desmanol care is effective against bacteria, mycobacteria, yeast and many viruses.It has bactericidal, mycobactericidal, yeasticidal and limited virucidal effects.The effectiveness against viruses also includes enveloped viruses, which are classified as "limited virucidal".The product is tested according to EN 13727, EN 12791, EN 13624, EN 14348 and EN 14476 and is on the RKI-list according to § 18 IfSG.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

Desmanol care contains the medicinally active ingredients propan-2-ol and ethanol.100 g of solution contains 70.0 g of propan-2-ol and 9.9 g of ethanol 96%.The other ingredients include purified water, tetradecan-1-ol, cetostearyl alcohol, sorbitol solution 70% crystallizing, dexpanthenol and methyl ethyl ketone.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Desmanol care is used undiluted.During the exposure time for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection, the hands or hands and forearms must remain well moistened throughout the entire application period.

Notes

Desmanol care is for external use only and must not be placed in the eyes.If you accidentally come into contact with your eyes, you should immediately rinse with plenty of water while keeping your eyelids open for several minutes.The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children.Desmanol care is highly flammable and must not be brought into contact with open flames or switched on heating sources.Once opened, the container should not be used for longer than 12 months, but not beyond the expiry date.No prescription is required for this product.
