Ethanol 70% (V/V) Hofmann's is a disinfectant that is used for hygienic hand disinfection and for the production of cooling compresses.It contains ethanol as an active ingredient in a concentration of 70% (v/v).

Application

Ethanol 70% (V/V) Hofmann's should always be used according to the instructions in the package leaflet.If you are unsure, you can ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

For hygienic hand disinfection, the hands are rubbed with the solution and kept moist for at least a minute.To make cooling compresses, dilute the solution with equal parts water.

The times stated are minimum times.Depending on circumstances, such as damp skin or dirt, the exposure time can be extended.Ethanol 70% (V/V) does not kill spores and is therefore not suitable for storing sterile instruments and syringes.

Duration of application

The duration of use is not limited.However, if signs of illness occur, a doctor should be consulted.If the effect is too strong or too weak, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

If an application is missed, you should not use a double dose.If you have any further questions about use, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children.It must not be used after the expiry date stated on the label.The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.

Never dispose of medicines via wastewater.Ask your pharmacy about proper disposal to protect the environment.

The medicine should be tightly closed and kept away from sources of ignition as it is highly flammable.If the solution is spilled, immediate measures to prevent fire and explosion must be taken, such as absorbing the liquid, diluting it with water, ventilating the room and eliminating sources of ignition.
