Desmanol care hand disinfectant

The alcohol-based disinfectant is free of dyes and perfumes and impresses with its particularly broad spectrum of effectiveness.It is a product that can be used all year round and reliably protects against infections.The disinfectant is VAH-certified, IHO-listed and is on the RKI-list according to §18 IfSG.It contains nourishing panthenol and is free of residual active ingredients.

Effective spectra

Desmanol care has a bactericidal, mycobactericidal, yeasticidal and limited virucidal effect according to EN 14476. The medicinally active ingredients propan-2-ol and ethanol act against bacteria, including mycobacteria, yeast fungi and many viruses.The activity against viruses includes enveloped viruses, which is classified as "limited virucidal".This effectiveness was tested against test viruses such as BVDV and vaccinia virus, which allows conclusions to be drawn about the effectiveness against other enveloped viruses such as hepatitis B virus and HI-virus.

Areas of application

Desmanol care alcoholic hand disinfection is suitable for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.An exposure time of 30 seconds is sufficient for hygienic hand disinfection, while an exposure time of 90 seconds is required for surgical hand disinfection.The product is used undiluted and must keep the hands or hands and forearms well moistened throughout the entire exposure time.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

Desmanol care alcoholic hand disinfection contains the following active ingredients: propan-2-ol and ethanol 96%.The other ingredients include purified water, tetradecan-1-ol, cetostearyl alcohol, sorbitol solution 70% crystallizing, dexpanthenol and methyl ethyl ketone.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

For hygienic hand disinfection, a sufficient amount of the product is rubbed into dry hands for 30 seconds.For surgical hand disinfection, a sufficient amount is rubbed into dry hands and forearms for 90 seconds.

Notes

Use externally only.Do not bring into eyes.In the event of accidental eye contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for several minutes with the eyelids open.The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children.The product is highly flammable and must not be brought into contact with open flames or switched on heating sources.Once opened, the container should not be used for longer than 12 months, but not beyond the expiry date.When using the preparations in dispenser systems, the dispenser manufacturer's shelf life instructions must be observed.
